Our prepress department is capable of handling files created by the leading graphics applications on both Mac and Windows platforms. However, there are some specific suggestions to help ensure a quality product when you go big with large-format printing:
Use only high-resolution CMYK images in your document.
Create a high-quality PDF file to the exact size of your poster or sign–or at a percentage proportional to the final output desired.
If your image is not 150 ppi or higher (up to 300 ppi) at the full size of your poster, up-sampling may be used. Note that the image quality and clarity will be limited by the original resolution of the image, but up-sampling will help eliminate pixelation in the final ouptut.
Always print out a proof and review it for accuracy prior to submitting your file.
Files may be uploaded to our cloud-based storage. Please submit a compressed file with both the original design file (including fonts and links) and a high-quality PDF. You will have the opportunity to view a proof prior to final printing.
As always, please call our pre-press department at 586.3170 with any specific questions about preparation of digital files, or send us a message.
