Job Description: Customer Service Representative

Alaska Litho is recruiting for a Customer Service Representative

Typical Daily Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, take messages and respond to customer questions
  • Follow up with customers on order statuses
  • Greet customers at the front counter
  • Write work orders, tickets and print project instructions for production crew
  • Pricing and estimated print project, and communicate them to customers
  • Follow-ups on leads and proposals
  • Follow-up with customers on finished print project quality and satisfaction
  • Respond to customer question and process print project requests through email
  • Filing and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, software training courses and community outreach
  • Learn how to process bulk mail for presort discounts
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by supervisor

Preferred skills:

  • Previous Administrative Assistance or Customer Service experience
  • Previous experience in the Graphic Arts industry a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent phone, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus
  • Understanding of measuring devices and associated system
  • Understanding of basic math concepts including dividing fractions and converting decimals and area math.
  • Type 40 word per minute with minimal errors
  • Work well under minimal direct supervision and with a team of diverse players
  • Resourceful, able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient Mathematical skills
  • Understanding of the USPS business mail process a plus
  • Self-motivation and able to add value to our business
  • Able to lift, bend, and twist with 50lbs
